Your Brand Bible
With Tess Taylor · Founder, Bodega Bloom
Brand strategy, built from the inside out. Start with who you are, not what you sell.

Start with you, not your brand: how you think, what you care about, what you want your life to look like, and the skills you have been taking for granted.
Your brand why, purpose statement, value proposition, brand values, and your name and tagline.
Your audience as a specific person, the archetypes within it, the experience and enemy they share, the words they use, and how they change.
Four or five drumbeat messages: the recurring beliefs that underpin all your content.
What only you can bring – and what that means for the brand.
The personality that best captures the energy, voice, and role of the brand, chosen from Tess's eleven archetypes.
Everything you offer, mapped as a coherent journey from free to high ticket, one row per offer.
The distinctive way you do the work: named, owned, and clear enough that someone else could understand it.
Draft your vision, core thesis, brand truths, and brand statements, then read the whole Brand Bible as a stranger would.
How the brand sounds and how it makes people feel, described as behaviours, not adjectives.
How the brand looks and what it feels like to encounter: specific enough to brief a designer or make confident Canva decisions.
Read the whole brand back, then receive your Brand Bible and your Self Discovery Summary.
Bring anything you are about to put out and check it against your Brand Bible.
Check an invitation, collaboration, client, or new offer idea against your brand before deciding.
Refine, replace, or deliberately leave alone a Brand Bible decision, using evidence.
Look at what you made and sold this month, and whether your Brand Bible still tells the truth.
Meet Tess
“I couldn’t explain who I was without a job title.”
It started in the two years after I was made redundant. I spent a lot of that time thinking out loud with AI, and slowly a process took shape: start with yourself, find the thread that connects everything you know and do, and build a brand around it.
This is that process, made into something you can work through yourself.

What you’re building
If what you sell is what you know, your brand needs to do more than look nice. I think of it as a container: a brand that holds your knowledge, your point of view and everything you offer, and feels like an extension of you.
A brand is also much bigger than colours and a logo. It’s a whole world that people can step inside, that sounds and feels like you wherever you show up. We’ll get to the visuals, but we start with who you are, because everything else is built from that.
How it works
A guided conversation with an AI thinking partner trained on my method. Its job is to be your mirror: to ask the next question, notice the things you say in passing, and help you put words to what you’ve always known but never quite said.
Three stages, each building on the last.
We start with you: how you think, what you care about, the life you want, and the skills you’ve been taking for granted.
The strategic foundation: why your brand exists, who it’s for, what you keep saying, where you stand and what you offer.
How it all sounds and looks, clear enough to write from, brief a designer with or make confident decisions in Canva.
It will push back.
It won’t just tell you you’re right. But it’s still AI, so if something it reflects back doesn’t feel true, trust your gut and say so.
Claude or ChatGPT.
Use whichever AI you’re used to, and switch at any point without losing your progress.
What you’ll walk away with
The Brand Bible is a living document, and it stays installed to your AI profile, so every chat you have can draw on it. Whether you’re writing a post, planning an offer or deciding whether to say yes to something, your AI already knows you and your brand.
It doesn’t have to be perfect. Get it as right as it feels right now, because your brand is living and you can update it whenever it changes.
Slow down now, and everything after this gets faster.

Before you start
Think out loud.
Messy, rambling and half-formed is exactly what works. Voice notes are best, because they catch how you actually talk.
Go past your first answer.
The first one is usually the one you think you should give. Keep going until something feels true, not just right.
Say it anyway.
The thing that feels irrelevant is often the thing that unlocks everything else.
Take your time.
Spread it across several sessions. Some of the best insights arrive after a walk or a sleep.
Say “log that”.
Whenever something lands exactly right, so it doesn’t get lost in the scroll.
I can’t wait to see what you find.
